Barcelona have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, deeming his €60m valuation to be too high.

Speculation had surfaced in recent days linking Barca with a summer swoop for Tonali, who is also a target for several top clubs in Italy and Europe.

Mundo Deportivo writes the Catalans’ interest was real but also that a deal is ‘unfeasible’ due to Brescia holding out for a fee in the region of €60m.

The prospect of players moving in the opposite direction is also a non-starter, given the Rondinelle look set to be relegated from Serie A if the season resumes.

The 19-year-old scored one goal and provided five assists in 24 games for Brescia prior to the outbreak of coronavirus in Italy.
