After a controversial turn of events, Sky Sport Italia eventually reports that the two players will still swap clubs this winter.

It seemed like the deal would fall through after Inter requested further analysis of the physical condition of Spinazzola and tried to alter the previously agreed deal between the two sides.

Roma had refused to let Inter change their initial deal and the move was put on stand-by, but after opening up for re-negotiation of the terms, the two clubs have reportedly been able to find a solution.

Now, the left-back should be heading to San Siro after the Nerazzurri have successfully implemented an option to reverse the move linked to his achievements with the club in the future.

The broadcaster say he would have to play 15 or 16 matches and the deal has been changed from a permanent deal to a loan with an option to buy after their concerns about the player's condition.

This means Roma will be getting their man, to help them replace Nicolò Zaniolo, who will be out with a knee injury for the rest of the season.
