The Spanish international is out of contract at the end of the season, and the Partenopei were only willing to offer him a one-year extension.

In recent weeks it has been reported that the Rossoneri were keen to sign him, and today’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that a deal is done.

Under FIFA regulations, any club can approach Reina in the last six months of his contract, but they must inform his current club when a deal is reached.

Gazzetta reports that the Diavolo have informed Napoli that a contract has been agreed until 2020 for the goalkeeper, who turns 36 in August.

The newspaper believes the contract is worth €3m per season, plus bonuses, and there is an option for an additional year.

An announcement is not expected imminently though, as Milan still have to resolve the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

There have been rumours the 19-year-old will be sold this summer, and an announcement of Reina's arrival would only add fuel to the fire.
