The managerial merry-go-round is set to spin again with reports in France that Mauricio Pochettino has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Liberation, Pochettino has informed PSG director of sport Leonardo and President Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he wishes to be released from his contract immediately.

It would make this a very brief experience in France, as Pochettino was only appointed in January 2021 and had been under contract to June 2022.

There have been reports of a return to Tottenham Hotspur, after they split in November 2019.

It’d also spark a race to find his replacement at PSG, with former Inter boss Antonio Conte one of the candidates.

Pochettino had been linked with the Real Madrid role, but that went to Carlo Ancelotti today.
