The Saudi Public Investment Fund are reportedly preparing a monstrous offer for the Italy international, who has bagged 27 goals in 26 Serie A matches this term.

His contract at Lazio expires in June 2023 but reports in Italian media have claimed he is in for a bumper new deal at the Olimpico this summer.

The newspaper claims the Arab backers, who are currently waiting for the approval from the Premier League to buy the Magpies, have already contacted Immobile’s representatives to present their intentions.

Immobile will, according to the report, be offered a five-year deal with a net salary of €8m (€16m a year gross) plus a transfer fee of €55m to the Biancocelesti.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito wants to fend off any possible suitors by extending the forward’s contract until 2025 and is prepared to offer €4m a year.
