Reports regarding a possible exchange deal between Napoli and Torino emerged today, but Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Partenopei have been quick to quash the rumours.

Torino, who have hired Marco Giampaolo ahead of the 2020-21 season, have a close connection with Meret through sporting director Davide Vagnati.

The former SPAL director brought Meret to Ferrara for two years between 2016 and 2018 and the new Torino man has reportedly offered Sirigu in return to bring the young Italy international to Turin this summer.

Napoli have, according to Sky, rejected the proposal and Meret, who played 22 Serie A matches in 2019-20, is still considered a key member for the future at the San Paolo.
