Milan defender Mateo Musacchio reportedly closes in on a return to action, after a long spell out with an ankle injury.

The 30-year-old, who struggled to accept that the Rossoneri replaced him in the starting line-up with Simon Kjaer in January, has been out with an ankle injury since mid-June.

Musacchio required surgery during the summer, but Il Corriere dello Sport claims the Argentine is on the right path and should soon recover from the setback.
