Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly lose out to ex-Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric for the Ballon d’Or.

According to Onda Cero, Modric will pair his Best FIFA Men’s Player award with the Ballon d’Or on December 3.

However, the Spanish radio station believes Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann will join the Croat on the podium, as opposed to Kylian Mbappe and Raphael Varane.

The 33-year-old has won five Ballon d’Ors in his career and recently claimed he ‘deserved’ to add to his haul.

However, it is thought his decision to leave Madrid for Juve in a €112m deal over the summer will count against him.
