Milan’s search for a winger has reportedly taken them to former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.

According to Corriere della Sera, Carrasco is Milan’s ‘latest idea’ for the January transfer window after missing out on Cesc Fabregas, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Muriel.

The newspaper writes the 25-year-old ‘isn’t experiencing an exciting spell in his career’, having moved to China last year, and ‘could push for a return to Europe’ this month.

That in turn would ‘force Dalian Yifang’s hand and favour the Rossoneri’, tying in with Calciomercato.com’s claim that Rodrigo De Paul will be ‘very difficult’ to pry away from Udinese.

Carrasco began his career at Monaco, helping them finish second in Ligue 1, before joining Atleti in the summer of 2015.

He scored 23 goals in 124 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side but moved to their Chinese sister club last January so he could feature in the Belgium team who finished third at the 2018 World Cup.
