It is reported that Valencia’s Seydou Keita has reached an agreement with Roma regarding a transfer to Stadio Olimpico.

Giallorossi Coach Rudi Garcia is keen to bolster his squad for next season, with a congested fixture schedule guaranteed due to the club’s participation in the Champions League.

According to Calcio News 24, terms of a contract that would see the former Barcelona man move to the Italian capital have been agreed.

However, it is also said that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is still harbouring doubts over whether it would be wise to finalise the deal. This is because of the 34-year-old’s impending participation in next January’s African Cup of Nations, when he could miss up to a month of the Giallorossi’s season.

With this in mind, whether the transfer goes ahead remains to be seen. Liverpool are also thought to be interested in the midfielder, who is out of contract in Spain this summer.
