Rodrigo Bentancur, Juan Cuadrado, Danilo, Paulo Dybala, Merih Demiral and Cristiano Ronaldo left the J Hotel to play for their respective national teams while Gigi Buffon went home.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the players will be fined if found guilty by the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office that is carrying on the investigation.
At the same time, the FIGC Federal Prosecutor has opened another investigation to verify whether Ronaldo and his teammates had not complied with the anti-Covid regulations drawn up by the federation, leaving the place where they were carrying out the fiduciary isolation.
Even if a responsibility of the players is established, it would not be attributable to Juventus as the club had informed the ASL of Turin about the behavior of the players.
Juventus, however, believe Ronaldo and his teammates did not break any rule.
“We enter the bubble on Saturday and we entered fiduciary isolation having no competitions to play,” Andrea Agnelli said yesterday.
“We told players that who wanted could go home to self-isolate. The bubble was not broken, They could decide to go and they are free citizens.
