Higuain returned to the Allianz Stadium last summer and has been an important asset under coach Maurizio Sarri, but the Argentine’s future seems to be elsewhere, linking him with a move back to River Plate this summer.

Juve are looking for a centre-forward but unless Higuain moves, the top targets seem out of reach this year, as Paris Saint-Germain could still use their option to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter and Gabriel Jesus might prove too costly to prise away from Manchester City.

The Old Lady have therefore targeted Arek Milik and are, according to Calciomercato.com, in contact with Napoli, who have set a price tag of €40m for the Poland international.

Milik was signed by Napoli to replace Argentine hero Higuain, as he left for the Bianconeri, and could follow in the 32-year-old’s footsteps once again.

However, this time the outlet claims the deal might depend on the former River Plate star staying in Turin, as the Argentine giants are dreaming of bringing Pipita back to Buenos Aires.

Milik's replacing Higuain for the second time should therefore be more gradual, as it could mean that Higuain will not leave for pastures new but remain with the Bianconeri to see out his current deal expiring in June 2021.
