The Paraguay international of Argentine descent was no longer required at the Giallorossi camp after arriving from Hellas Verona in July 2014 for €24.5m.

The 22-year-old was able to score only five goals in 56 competitive games, also providing five assists and receiving six yellow cards.

He had been on the verge of joining Watford this week, but fellow Premier League side Bournemouth came in with considerably more money for both Roma and the player.

It’s reported the Cherries will double the €1.5m per season wages he was earning at the Stadio Olimpico.
