Italian media claim the timing of the transfer is still being discussed, as he could be available from this summer or be left on loan at Santos until January.

According to UOL in Brazil, Inter raised their offer from €25m to €28m just so they could get the player straight away.

This sum will be split with €10m going to Gabigol himself and €18m to Santos, as his ownership rights are divided up.

The same report insists Juventus lost out on the forward by refusing to offer above €20m.

His salary at San Siro is expected to be €3.5m per year.

It’s suggested Santos wanted to keep Gabigol for one more farewell game, but Inter rejected the idea.
