The latest reports from the Napoli camp suggest not only is Lorenzo Insigne available, he’s expected to start against Barcelona tomorrow.

The first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie ended 1-1 at the Stadio San Paolo in February and the decider is on Saturday at Camp Nou.

Insigne had been a major doubt, having pulled up with a thigh and groin injury during the final Serie A game of the season against Lazio just under a week ago.

Insigne had been a major doubt, having pulled up with a thigh and groin injury during the final Serie A game of the season against Lazio just under a week ago.

He had bruising to the tendon connecting the thigh to the groin, along with a slight muscular problem.

However, he took part in the full training session with his teammates this morning and, according to Sky Sport Italia, Calcio Napoli and others, felt no pain.

He is included in the squad travelling to Spain for this encounter.

The positive response from today's session suggests Insigne is ready to be in the starting XI against Barcelona, a huge boost for the Partenopei to have their captain available.

It’s believed he’ll partner Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon in the trident attack.

Gennaro Gattuso must also choose between Stanislav Lobotka and Diego Demme in the middle of the park.

David Ospina is the favourite to play in goal, while either Kostas Manolas or Nikola Maksimovic will accompany Kalidou Koulibaly at centre-back.
