Dybala did take part in some of the training session yesterday, but not in the full squad routine.

It’s therefore considered unlikely he will be in the starting XI this evening, so soon after a muscular injury, but he could still come off the bench.

Giorgio Chiellini and Merih Demiral are also in the squad, even if Matthijs de Ligt will start with Leonardo Bonucci.

The main sticking point is whether Juan Cuadrado will start as part of the trident attack or at right-back.

There is a clue in the squad list, where Cuadrado is placed in the ‘forwards’ section of the graphic.

Douglas Costa, Mattia De Sciglio and Sami Khedira are injured.

Juventus squad for Lyon: Szczesny, Pinsoglio, Buffon; Chiellini, De Ligt, Alex Sandro, Danilo, Bonucci, Rugani, Demiral; Pjanic, Ramsey, Matuidi, Rabiot, Bentancur, Muratore; Ronaldo, Dybala, Cuadrado, Higuain, Bernardeschi, Olivieri
