Lorenzo Insigne will reportedly miss Napoli’s crunch Champions League encounter with Feyenoord on Wednesday.

According to Sport Mediaset, Insigne did not train with Napoli on Sunday, leaving his chances of playing at Feyenoord “practically zero”.

The forward limped off towards the end of the Partenopei’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Friday, with Radio Kiss Kiss citing muscular problems.

Sport Mediaset adds the forward is currently undergoing treatment for the problem and is likelier to return against Fiorentina next weekend as Maurizio Sarri is not keen on the idea of rushing him back too soon.

The news broadcast also believes Piotr Zielinski will shake off competition from Marko Rog and Adam Ounas on Napoli’s left wing in the Netherlands.

This would be due to Zielinski being Sarri’s most-used reserve player and held in “high esteem” by the Coach, as well as showing “a good feeling with goals.”

Napoli must beat Feyenoord and hope Manchester City beat Shakhtar Donetsk in order to reach the Champions League last 16.
