It’s reported Leicester City have completed a deal for Napoli’s Gokhan Inler, raising their offer to ward off late Schalke 04 interest.

The transfer for the Swiss midfielder has been gathering pace today, with reports this morning that  an agreement had been reached for around €6m.

However, Schalke then looked to hijack the deal at the last minute, offering €7m plus bonuses to bring the player to the Bundesliga.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is now reporting that the Foxes have raised their offer to €7m, plus another €2m in bonuses, and the move is now a done deal.

The site believes that Inler is currently preparing to head to England to sign the contract, which will see him commit to the Premier League side for the next three seasons.
