Milan forward Hakan Calhanoglu’s agent will reportedly travel to Italy on Wednesday to discuss the extension with the Rossoneri.

The Turkey international’s contract with the Diavolo will expire in June 2021 and the attacking midfielder has reportedly asked his agent to lower the initial demands of €6m a season.

Calciomercato.com reveals Calhanoglu, who hit the woodwork three times against Parma yesterday, makes €3.5m a year, including bonuses.

Milan must prepare a new bumper deal with the former Bayer Leverkusen star to prevent him from leaving next summer and the report claims he could be willing to accept a salary of €4.5m.

The 26-year-old has played 11 games for the Rossoneri this term, contributing three assists in the process.

In the Europa League, he scored four decisive goals in the preliminary rounds to help Milan back to Europe, then adding one goal in three games during the group matches.
