Cagliari are not wasting time and have reportedly scheduled a medical for Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who seems set for a return to Sardinia.

The Rossoblu tried to sign the Belgian on a permanent deal last summer but couldn’t reach an agreement with the Nerazzurri.

Nainggolan played 26 Serie A games for the Casteddu last term, contributing six goals and six assists in the process, and Cagliari have been pushing to bring him back to the island.

The former Roma midfielder has struggled for playing time under coach Antonio Conte at San Siro and a loan deal until June 2021 will reportedly be completed in January.

Cagliari will be looking to sign the former Belgium international on a permanent deal in the summer and with Marko Rog ruled out for months due to an ACL rupture, Cagliari are desperate to complete a deal.
