Brescia President Massimo Cellino is reportedly ready to extend the contract of coach Eugenio Corini until 2022.

Cellino sacked Corini in early November after a bad start to the season and brought in Fabio Grosso as his replacement.

However, Grosso lost his three games on the Brescia bench, and therefore his predecessor was brought back less than a month later.

Brescia have gone on to win two of their four games since Corini’s return, with only one defeat.

Now, Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira claims the former Cagliari owner now wants to embark on a “new era” with the ex-Palermo midfielder.

The 49-year-old is currently contracted to the Serie A side until the end of the season.
