The former Croatia striker was left out of the Bianconeri’s Champions League squad and hasn’t played a minute of competitive football under Maurizio Sarri.

However, Tuttomercatoweb reports his deal with Al-Duhail could be in jeopardy and that he is on his way back to Italy.

The Qatari side had negotiated a €5m fee to sign the 33-year-old, but the website writes the two parties are in disagreement over personal terms.

Despite that, TMW suggests a deal could yet be struck to reunite Mandzukic with his ex-Juve teammate Medhi Benatia.
