It’s reported Domenico Berardi has told Juventus that he wants to stay at Sassuolo, after a meeting today.

The forward was previously co-owned by the two clubs, but the Bianconeri sold their half of his registration last summer, while retaining a buyback clause.

The Old Lady had intended to bring the Italian Under-21 international to Turin for €25m, but it was reported this week that the player himself had doubts about moving.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Juventus met with Berardi’s representatives today, and were told in no uncertain terms that the 21-year-old wants to stay where he is.

Juve will therefore negotiate with the Neroverdi for an option next summer, the newspaper suggests.
