Barcelona defender Junior Firpo’s agent travels to Bergamo to continue talks with Atalanta today.

The 24-year-old left-back was linked with Juventus and Inter earlier this summer, but La Dea seem like the most plausible destination for the former Real Betis man.

Firpo moved to Barca in August 2019 and has struggled to convince at Camp Nou, playing 23 competitive games for the Blaugrana.

Tuttomercatoweb claims his agent arrives in Bergamo today, to take a closer look at the Orobici setup and discuss terms with the Bergamaschi.

Tuttomercatoweb claims his agent arrives in Bergamo today, to take a closer look at the Orobici setup and discuss terms with the Bergamaschi.

The report claims Firpo should expect to lower his salary in Bergamo. He currently makes €1.4m a season plus bonuses at Barcelona, reaching around €1.7m in total.

Atalanta want to lower the fixed salary to around €1.2m, but possibly surpassing €1.7m if all of La Dea’s targets are achieved.

The deal is not closed, but the outlet claims an agreement could be reached in the next few hours.
