The newspaper reports Acerbi has asked for an extension worth €3.5m a season, and Lazio have responded by offering a new deal worth €1.8m plus bonuses.

Acerbi has reportedly rejected the last offer and causes concern for coach Simone Inzaghi, who hopes the defender will continue to be a leader at the Olimpico in 2020-21.

The 32-year-old, who moved to Lazio from Sassuolo in July 2018, is tied to the Aquile until June 2023.
