Serbian referee Srdjan Jovanovic has been assigned to the Champions League head-to-head between Chelsea and Juventus, while Daniel Siebert of Germany takes Young Boys vs. Atalanta.

The tournament resumes on Tuesday evening and Juve have already qualified for the Round of 16 with a 100 per cent record, but this fixture at Stamford Bridge will probably decide who tops the group.

That position will give the team a better draw in the knockout phase of the competition.

UEFA have assigned Serbian referee Jovanovic to this game, with Alejandro Hernandez of Spain as the Video Assistant Referee.

The 35-year-old has only four Champions League proper games under his belt, the most recent being Real Madrid’s 5-0 victory away to Shakhtar Donetsk on October 19.

He has never officiated Juventus or Chelsea before.

As for Atalanta’s trip to Young Boys, that match will be officiated by Siebert with his fellow German Bastian Dankert in the VAR booth.

Group D is extremely tight, as Manchester United and Villarreal are top on seven points, followed by Atalanta on five and Young Boys with three.
