RB Leipzig technical director Paul Mitchell had been linked with Milan as part of Ralf Rangnick’s staff, but it’s reported he is close to joining Monaco.

Rangnick himself confirmed he was in negotiations with the Rossoneri to take over from Stefano Pioli for next season, although a deal is not yet done.

He was expected to bring along several people currently working with him at RB Leipzig, including technical director Mitchell.

However, L’Equipe report 38-year-old Mitchell is now on the verge of accepting a new role at Ligue 1 side Monaco.

Other figures Rangnick is believed to be requesting for Milan include director Hendrick Almstadt, Lars Konetka and Moritz Volz.
