Andrea Ranocchia reminded his Inter teammates after their scare against Trapani that they ‘cannot lose focus’.

A much changed Nerazzurri raced into a comfortable 3-0 lead by the halfway point of their Coppa Italia Fourth Round tie, only to see their Serie B visitors claw back two in the second half to make for a nervy end.

“We can’t ever let our focus drop. We still don’t have the experience and haven’t settled in enough to be able to manage the game,” considered Ranocchia post-match.

“We can’t stop at all. They attacked us, but we created chances. Plus, many of us haven’t played very much and we still don’t have a full 90 minutes in our legs.

“There’s also the fact that three youngsters came on for us. So we ended the game by giving away a bit too much to Trapani. That’s normal.

“We didn’t really risk giving away an equaliser, but still when it was 3-2 they were all getting into our box. That’s why we can’t let our focus drop anymore.

“We have to always be at our best and not let our level drop. We have a lot of work to do now, even on the basic things. We can’t let up a single bit.”
