Claudio Ranieri warns Roma they must “focus only on ourselves and not the Bayern Munich result” as Champions League qualification is decided against Cluj.

The Giallorossi need only a point to go through to the knock-outs, but even a defeat in Romania could be enough if Basel fail to beat the already-qualified Bayern Munich in Germany.

“We have to focus only on ourselves and not the Bayern Munich result,” said the Coach ahead of tomorrow night's games.

“This is a dangerous match, as Cluj are a good side and will want to make their mark in the Champions League.”

David Pizarro is out with a flu virus, while Mirko Vucinic is expected to be benched in favour of Francesco Totti.

“I will decide on the starting XI tonight. The squad has to get used to the rotation system. It is a new thing for them and like all novelties it isn't without some pain.”

Roma have had a shaky start in both Serie A and Europe, but Ranieri is confident they can remain competitive.

“There are bigger favourites than Roma to win the Champions League, but at times the favourites can slip up. We'll think about getting past this round, then we'll see.

“I also believe we can make up lost ground in Serie A. We won't give up and want to get back into the running.”
