Asked about his future after yesterday's 1-0 win away to Cesena, he said: "I am happy that a team like Liverpool are thinking about me."

Ranieri was then pressed on his deteriorating relationship with Mirko Vucinic, who kicked a boot bag after being substituted at the Dino Manuzzi stadium.

Vucinic had also apparently quarreled with Ranieri in training last week.

"I am sorry for this loss of temper. We need to talk to him about it because you go nowhere like this."
