Juventus are planning to offer Aaron Ramsey plus €40-50m in order to bring Paul Pogba back from Manchester United, claim Italian sources.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Nicolò Schira, the proposal is being lined up for the summer, taking advantage of Pogba’s growing rift with the Old Trafford club.

Agent Mino Raiola and even Pogba’s brother have not even tried to hide his desire to leave Manchester United, as the representative confirmed he had “spoken to Juventus director Pavel Nedved” about the midfielder’s return ‘home’ to Turin.

While Manchester United want €150m, it’s hoped they would be prepared to accept €40-50m cash plus ownership of Wales international Ramsey.

Like Emre Can with Liverpool, Ramsey arrived as a free agent from Arsenal and has struggled to get regular playing time.

He was initially used as a trequartista, playing behind the strikers, but Maurizio Sarri confirmed in press conferences that Ramsey prefers to play in midfield.

Pogba had joined Juventus as a free agent when his Manchester United contract expired in 2012 and moved back to England for €105m just four years later.

His current deal runs to June 2021, although there is an option to extend for one year.

He is currently out with an ankle injury and may well have already played his last game for this club.
