Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey is reportedly close to joining Rangers, snubbing offers from Burnley, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton.

The former Arsenal midfielder is not in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, having only played five games across all competitions this season.

The Wales international has snubbed many offers from Premier League clubs and according to Calciomercato.com, he is now close to joining Rangers. According to the report, Ramsey is ready to accept their offer.

Ramsey’s contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2023 and according to the report, he will move to Scotland on loan with an option to buy.

Sky Sport Italia confirm the Welshman is on the verge of moving to Scotland where the January transfer window closes at midnight.

Ramsey played his last competitive game in October 2021 against Zenit in the Champions League.

The 31-year-old has only started one match with Juventus this season. The opening Serie A fixture against Udinese on August 22.

Ramsey joined Juventus on a free transfer from Arsenal in June 2019. He has six goals and six assists in 70 appearances with the Serie A giants.

UPDATE: According to Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, Ramsey has accepted the offer of Rangers.

  1. That sounds just about his level. I saw the highlights of their game vs ross county at the weekend. Sunday league level mistakes, comical defending, keeping etc. He’ll do well there.

  2. Does that mean Juve will keep paying most of his wages? No way rangers can afford them with the little TV money in Scotland.

  3. I suspect Juve will continue paying around 65% of his wages. No chance Rangers can afford him flat out, and no chance Ramsey will take a pay cut.

  6. for everybody dancing on the tables, its about a lone with an option so no obligation to buy…se he will be back in a few months most likely

  7. I am guessing about 80% of his salary will be paid by Juve. In fact Juve might pay 100% of his salary just so he is out of the dressing room
