Bologna transfer consultant Salvatore Bagni has told Gaston Ramirez that he will be staying at the Stadio Dall'Ara.

The Uruguayan fantasy player has been linked with moves to Roma, Udinese and Villarreal.

A war of words between the club and the player has broken out in recent weeks, but the Rossoblu insist the attacking midfielder is going nowhere.

"Ramirez will stay with us," Bagni, a former Italian international midfielder, told Sky Sport Italia.

"He is an important player in the plans of boss Pierpaolo Bisoli. Another year at Bologna could also see him become an economically important player."

It seems that Bologna want to keep hold of the midfielder for at least one more campaign before cashing in on him.

"I want to play in a side that competes in Europe, as that would be better for my career. I feel like a prisoner at Bologna, as they won't let me go," snapped Ramirez last week.

"I am registered with Bologna, but whether I stay there or not will be decided only after we talk face to face."
