Inter will reportedly meet Barcelona on Wednesday with the intention of closing a deal for the midfielder.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Inter are willing to pay €30-35m for Rafinha and are not prepared to wait any longer for the Brazilian’s signature.

The only sticking point would be Barca’s demands for €40m plus €5m in bonuses, with the Nerazzurri considering this too much for a player who has not played since last April due to knee ligament damage.

Furthermore, there are no guarantees that the Liga leaders will accept the Beneamata’s proposal to delay a permanent transfer until the summer.

Nonetheless, the newspaper assures personal terms have been agreed and that a breakthrough could arrive when Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio faces his Catalan counterparts.

On the other hand, MD warns Barca “seem to be in no hurry” to sell the 24-year-old and could yet sell him to another club.
