Kevin-Prince Boateng decided to leave Milan for Schalke 04 this summer after growing tired of racism in Italy.

“Milan President Silvio Berlusconi promised him that he would be able to go if Milan qualified for the Champions League group stages.”
The Ghanaian international helped the Diavolo do that by scoring a brace in the second leg play-off against PSV Eindhoven last month.
Boateng stood up against the racists at the start of 2013 when, after being abused by some fans, he walked off the pitch during an abandoned friendly against Pro Patria.
The 26-year-old joined Milan in the summer of 2010 from Portsmouth via Genoa. It is believed he was sold to Schalke for a fee in the region of €11m.
He scored 17 goals in 100 games for the Rossoneri.
