Napoli have joined Roma, Genoa, Inter and Lyon in the race for USA World Cup starlet DeAndre Yedlin.

The 21-year-old Seattle Sounders right-back impressed in Brazil and has caught the eye of several European clubs.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the front-runners are Napoli and Roma with a fee expected of €2.5m-€3m (around £2m-£2.4m).

It’s reported Napoli entered the fray only over the last 48 hours and are pushing hard to make the move go through.

While Roma would agree to leave Yedlin at Seattle Sounders on loan for another year, Napoli would send him out to a smaller Serie A side such as Sassuolo” data-scaytid=”9″>Sassuolo.

It’s believed his agent has already spoken to Genoa, while Inter are working through President Erick Thohir’s MLS connections at DC United.
