Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella admits he is surprised at how well Napoli have played this season.

The 28-year-old Italy international left his hometown club for Turin late last summer.

He is currently on loan, but Juventus plan to make his move permanent at the end of the season.

Quagliarella has been out of action since January with a serious knee injury.

"I don't regret leaving Napoli," he said. "I knew that they might do well, but I never expected them to do this well.

"Honestly I am not going to hide my happiness. If someone has to be up there above us, it's better that it's the team of my city."
