Fabio Quagliarella is ready to stay and fight for his place at Juventus rather than move on during the January transfer window.

The attacker has been paired with an exit after Christmas given that he has yet to break into the first team plans of boss Antonio Conte.

However, the Italian international, now fit after missing the second half of last season because of injury, isn’t interested in an imminent switch.

“I have to be honest, I’m not thinking about leaving Turin,” the 28-year-old noted. “I don’t talk about the transfer market, I leave that to others.

“Conte has always shown that he has belief and faith in me,” he continued.

Quagliarella has made six appearances in Serie A this season, all from the bench, for a total of just 125 minutes. His only start came in the Coppa Italia against Bologna.

“It’s only normal that everyone wants to play,” he added. “However, for the good of the team, I accept the decisions of the Coach.

“I just look to be ready when called upon to play.”
