Paris Saint-Germain are not giving up on Matthijs de Ligt, despite Juventus reportedly agreeing terms with the Ajax defender.

Multiple sources believe Juve have worked out a contract for De Ligt worth €8m a year net plus bonuses, which takes it close to his demands of €12m a season net.

The Bianconeri would have also included a €150m release clause, which Gianluca Di Marzio claims is why PSG pulled out of the running.

However, Fabrizio Romano maintains the French giants ‘still haven’t given up’ on the 19-year-old as sporting director Leonardo ‘is still in contact’ with both Ajax and agent Mino Raiola.

Leonardo is credited with repairing Milan’s relationship with Raiola, and he is said to be ‘trying to convince’ him and the Dutch club into selling the stopper to his team.
