Reports in France suggest Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma is keen to join Paris Saint-Germain, but it depends on Financial Fair Play.

With the Rossoneri failing to qualify for the Champions League this season, the 19-year-old could be sold to balance the books.

Relations with his agent Mino Raiola are frosty at best, while Napoli's Pepe Reina is expected to join on a free transfer, indicating the youngster will go.

With the Rossoneri failing to qualify for the Champions League this season, the 19-year-old could be sold to balance the books.

Relations with his agent Mino Raiola are frosty at best, while Napoli's Pepe Reina is expected to join on a free transfer, indicating the youngster will go.

French sports newspaper L’Équipe reports today that PSG have decided to focus on a goalkeeper this summer, and have already told Alphonse Areola.

Thibaut Courtois of Chelsea is high on their shortlist, and there have already been two meetings with his representatives.

Donnarumma is also a target though, having turned down a move to Paris in favour of a Milan renewal last summer.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique regularly meets with Raiola, who represents Marco Verratti, and the Italian international has been regularly discussed.

Last week a meeting was held at the Hotel Peninsula on Avenue Kléber and Donnarumma was once again discussed.

Talks are advanced enough that Henrique is believed to have had direct contact with Gigio, putting them in pole position to sign him. L’Équipe even speculates that there is the basis of a contractual agreement.

However, that does not mean that a deal is done because PSG have to comply with Financial Fair Play.

The Ligue 1 winners spent €222m on Neymar last summer, and have committed to sign Kylian Mbappé for €180m this year.

They have to make the books balance or they’ll be sanctioned by UEFA, and if they are punished they won’t be able to spend the necessary €40-45m on Donnarumma.

There is also speculation that Raiola is simply trying to drum up interest in Donnarumma from other clubs.

The agent also represents Areola, so either he must already have a way out for the Frenchman, or he’s posturing to force clubs like Real Madrid into action.
