Napoli are hoping to retake the top spot in Serie A when they host strugglers Bologna this afternoon.

The match between the Partenopei and the Rossoblu kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have been on fire this season, winning their last nine consecutive matches across all competitions, and they’ve shown no signs of slowing down two months into the campaign. Their last outing was a thrilling 4-2 win over Ajax and they’ll be expecting another strong showing this afternoon.

It’s been a difficult season so far for Bologna, who replaced coach Sinisa Mihajlovic with Thiago Motta last month. The team currently sit 17th in the table and haven’t picked up three points since a 2-1 win over Fiorentina over a month ago.

Napoli have two absences heading into today’s game – both Amir Rrahmani and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa are out injured. Bologna will have to do without Denso Kasius, Jerdy Schouten and talismanic striker Marko Arnautovic.

Probable Serie A line-ups for Napoli vs Bologna

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Ostigard, Kim, Mario Rui; Ndombele, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.

Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Posch, Soumaoro, Lucumi, Cambiaso; Medel, Dominguez; Orsolini, Soriano, Aebischer; Zirkzee.
