Empoli host Fiorentina in the Tuscan derby while under-fire Gabriele Cioffi faces Sinisa Mihajlovic in BolognaVerona. Check out the probable line-ups.

The Tuscan derby kicks off at 17.30 UK time (same as Napoli-Monza), while Bologna host Verona at the Stadio Dall’Ara at 19.45 (like Atalanta-Milan).

Empoli lost the first game of the season and Paolo Zanetti could become the first Azzurri coach o lose the opening two games since Giovanni Martusciello in 2016.

Fiorentina faced Twente in the Conference League play-offs on Thursday and will play the second leg next week. La Viola has won the first two Serie A games only twice since 2000.

Bologna-Verona

Cioffi is under-fire at Verona and there are already rumours about his sacking following last week’s 5-2 loss against Napoli.

Both teams lost in their debut game this season and Bologna haven’t lost the first two Serie A matches since 2015-16.

Marko Arnautovic has scored almost 50% of Bologna’s goals since April (6 out of 13), while Verona star Antonin Barak may not be called up for tonight’s game as he is close to joining Fiorentina.

Verona striker Thomas Henry scored in the last three Serie A appearances, including one against Bologna in May.
