Victor Osimhen will lead Napoli‘s attack against Monza as Andrea Petagna return to the Stadio Maradona.

It kicks off at 17.30 UK time.

The Partenopei play their first home game this season with more than 40,000 fans in the stands. There’s enthusiasm following the latest three signings this week: Giacomo Raspadori, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovanni Simeone.

They’ve been training with their new team only for a few days, so they’ll have a chance to play coming off the bench today. The last meeting between Napoli and Monza was in Serie B in 2000.

Fabian Ruiz is out and will no longer play for Napoli because he doesn’t want to extend his expiring contract. Diego Demme is injured while Hirving Lozano is favourite over Politano in attack.

Napoli lost two of the last four games against newly promoted teams, as many as in the previous 15 games. Victor Osimhen has contributed to 11 goals in the last 10 Serie A appearances.

Monza are without the injured Carlos Augusto and Motha Carvalho. Andrea Carboni favourite over Luca Caldirola and Stefano Sensi over Mattia Valoti.

Michele De Gregorio or Alessio Cragno in goal. Cragno is considered one of the best young goalkeepers in Italy, but De Gregorio surprisingly started in Matchday 1.

Petagna is on loan from Napoli and is expected to start his first game for Monza.
