Mauro Icardi will start his first Inter game for two months when they take on Genoa in Serie A this evening.

Icardi has not played since being stripped of Inter’s captaincy on February 13, but he finally resumed training last week.

Despite Coach Luciano Spalletti vowing not to use the striker at first, he backtracked at his Press conference for the game, even confirming the Argentine would start.

He will be joined back in support by Radja Nainggolan, who has recovered from a calf injury, while Roberto Gagliardini should get the nod over Matias Vecino.

Genoa, meanwhile, have lost captain Domenico Criscito to suspension, so Giuseppe Pezzella comes in at left-back.

Cesare Prandelli is also likely to go with two up top in Christian Kouame and Antonio Sanabria, although he could yet go with Stefano Sturaro in behind.

The Nerazzurri can consolidate third place and go four points clear of arch-rivals Milan with victory at Marassi.

Genoa (probable): Radu; Pereira, Romero, Zukanovic, Pezzella; Lerager, Rolon, Radovanovic, Lazovic; Kouame, Sanabria

Inter (probable): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Miranda, Skriniar, Dalbert; Gagliardini, Brozovic; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Icardi
