Coach Simone Inzaghi will have the Serbian midfielder back in action when the Aquile fight for a place in the last-16.

Lazio haven’t been in the knockout stages of the Champions League in 20 years, but Inzaghi, who played himself back then, should have all the big names available to help him secure the feat.

Milinkovic-Savic will return to the line-up, and Wesley Hoedt should play in the centre of the defence.

Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto are expected in the middle of the park, and Joaquin Correa should link up with Immobile up front.

Patric and Luiz Felipe fight for a place in the side and it’s not completely certain if Thomas Strakosha will stay in goal after having returned against Udinese in the League.

Lucien Favre has a big squad to pick from, as Reinier and Schmelzer are the only two out and reports have even suggested the BVB could rest Erling Haaland for the game against Lazio, as Die Schwarzgelben are five points clear of Club Brugge.

But in the fight for first place in Group F, the first probable line-ups include the Norwegian goalscorer.

Borussia Dortmund (probable): Burki; Meunier, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro; Witsel, Dahoud; Sancho, Reus, Hazard; Haaland

Lazio (probable): Strakosha; Patric, Hoedt, Acerbi; Marusic, Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto, Fares; Correa, Immobile

Referee: Mateu (ESP)
