Fiorentina will be fighting to finish first in their Europa Conference League group in this afternoon’s match against RFS.
The match between the Latvian outfit and the Viola kicks off at 15.30 UK time at the Skonto Stadium in Riga.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side were left frustrated in their first meeting with RFS this season, being held to a 1-1 draw in Florence, despite the fact that they’d taken 32 shots and controlled 76% of the ball. The team bounced back in Europe after that result and secured wins over Hearts and Istanbul Basaksehir, giving them hope of a first place finish in Group A.
RFS sit bottom of Group A, only picking up two points from draws with Fiorentina and Istanbul Basaksehir. Things are a little difficult domestically as well for the Latvian side, losing the cup final last month to Auda and drawing three of their last five league outings.
Gaetano Castrovilli, Nicolas Gonzalez and Riccardo Sottil are all out injured for Fiorentina, limiting their capabilities going forward. RFS have a fully fit squad.
