Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli wants to ‘forget’ the 2-0 defeat to Inter immediately and to focus on ‘saving ourselves’.
The defeat to the Nerazzurri means both Udinese, Genoa and Bologna could potentially leapfrog the Viola this weekend.
Prandelli admitted Inter ‘deserved to win’, but felt the home side responded well after conceding the first goal.
“We had a good reaction to the first goal, then after the second we opened up too much,” Prandelli told Sky Sport Italia.

“But we must recognise the strength of a team that have technique, physique and depth.
“Inter deserved the win.”
Prandelli, who had to cope without a host of key players, including a late setback for Martin Caceres, stressed the journey ahead ‘depends on us’.
He wants to ‘forget’ tonight’s defeat as soon as possible and immediately focused on the next task against Sampdoria.
“It all depends on us. If we are aware of our limits, we can play good matches,” he said. “But it’s a strange, particular championship, where you often prepare the match and then you have changes to make for many reasons.
“A team born in a certain way and it’s not easy to fix it. Now we must forget about this game quickly and think about the next direct clash.
“We must think about saving ourselves, end of.”
