Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli is wary of the threat tomorrow’s World Cup opponents Costa Rica will pose his side.

The two nations won their opening Group D matches of the tournament to jointly lead the section after one game.

Speaking at a Press conference today, the Azzurri boss expressed his belief that the Ticos are a close unit who play to their strengths.

“It’s been months that we’ve known about the schedule,” Prandelli told the assembled media. “

We have followed this team with particular interest. They are very well organised and they know their system of play by heart.

“They are a very fearsome team and for us it will be a particularly difficult match.

“They know their system of play very well and they have three very good players up front, so there is something to worry about.”

Prandelli pinpointed Joel Campbell as a player the Azzurri will have to be particularly alert to come kick-off in Recife.

“Campbell is a modern attacker, who with his first touch can look to link up with the other attackers.

“He is very interesting, because he knows how to find the net from outside the area too.”
