Cesare Prandelli confirmed Genoa were “very angry” at the defeat to Parma, because the goal came from a non-existent corner.

The decisive moment occurred 12 minutes from time at the Stadio Tardini, when Juraj Kucka eventually bundled over the line after the woodwork was rattled twice.

However, the corner should not have been given, as it took a double ricochet off Roberto Inglese.

“We saw straight away that it wasn’t a corner. We’re very angry, but have to accept it. There’s not much else we can do.”

It ended Genoa’s six-round unbeaten run, but it was their third consecutive match without scoring.

“Once again today we had our chances, but need to be more determined in front of goal,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“The performance was positive and in the second half, I really thought we were going to win it. We were a little deep in the first half, but still defended well.

“We are working to have a precise identity in our approach, but are missing something in the final third.”
