Lyon's Aly Cissokho was heavily touted, but Sky Sport Italia have claimed that AZ Alkmaar full-back Poulsen is also of interest.

Poulsen, who featured in yesterday’s Portugal-Denmark clash at Euro 2012, is a 27-year-old who turned out for Sonderjyske and Midtjylland in his homeland before signing for AZ in 2008.

He famously scored an own goal playing for Denmark against the Netherlands at the 2010 World Cup, but redeemed himself by setting up Michael Krohn-Dehli's winner in the Danes’ shock victory over the Dutch last Saturday.

Although currently deployed as a left-back by club and country, Poulsen would have little difficulty adapting to Walter Mazzarri's 3-5-2 having started his career as a winger.
